The Global Dimension...

This zeal for mission is imparted in order to do ministry to the ends of the earth. The baptism in the Spirit is the key to global evangelization and renewal. Jesus told his disciples to "stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high" (Lk 24:49). They had already gone on mission before, with great effectiveness. But for global evangelization, something more was needed. They needed the baptism in the Spirit.

The baptism in the Spirit expands our vision, stirs our hearts to action, sustains us with perseverance, empowers us with spiritual gifts, and fills our hearts with great joy as we do mission.

God wants the baptism in the Spirit for everyone, "for the promise is made to you and to your children and to all those far off, whomever the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2:39). All followers of Jesus Christ are called to holiness, and all are called to mission.

The Church exists for mission. CFC was raised up by the Lord for mission. We in CFC are to do a rapid and massive work of global evangelization and renewal. Go to top

Pentecost Power Today...

The power of Pentecost is available today through the baptism in the Holy Spirit. This Pentecost power is meant to fill the Church and the whole people of God.

It is to be like a "strong driving wind" (Acts 2:2) that will blow through all the nations, driving away evil and bringing the refreshing breath of God's Spirit.

And at Pentecost, the disciples spoke in different tongues, confusing and astounding the assembled crowd, comprised of pilgrims from every nation(Acts2:4-12). It was a reversal of the Tower of Babel incident where "the Lord confused the speech of all the world ... (and) scattered (the people) all over the earth" (Gen 11:7-9). Now God intended to gather them back together to Himself. The event was a powerful statement on the worldwide mission of the Church.

God calls us, empowers us, and sends us forth. To accomplish His purpose, God baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to work in and through us to the fullest extent. And let us continue to praise and thank God for the precious gift of baptism in the Spirit. Go to top
